INBOUND Travel Consultant (For Shamal Travels - Quatre Bornes)

Shamal Travels Ltd, is looking for an reservation agent/travel consultant to work in the newly set up inbound business at our main office Quatre Bornes. Candidate will be required to process & book hotels, transfers and excursions within Mauritius. Candidate will have to work on building good commercial ties with local operators and ensure adequate service to our foreign clients.
Candidate will be assigned multiple responsibilities including sales, preparing of quotations, management of client base. Candidate will be expected to achieve a series of short and long term goals and must achieve measurable sales and service targets.
Minimum academic & non academic Requirements:
•Higher School Certificate with good results.
•Diploma or Degree in "Travel & Tourism" will be helpful.
•Residing in the region of Plaine Wilhems.
•Additional qualifications will also be considered.
Experience, Track Record & Age:
•At least 2-3 years experience as reservation agent within any local inbound operator.
•At least 2-3 years experience as reservation agent within any local inbound operator.
•Proven track record & verifiable references.
Other requirements:
•Outgoing personality with a creative and innovative approach to travel.
•High level of written and spoken English and French.
•Willing to work odd hours & proven ability to work in a team.
•Fast learner and IT literate.
•Self motivated and strong ability to achieve sales targets.
•Ambitious and willing to work odd hours and weekends.
•Very conversant with technology.
•Candidate must be willing to commute to other locations for training purposes.
